Requirements

Candidates should be perfectionists with an incredible eye for detail, experienced in shipping real product design work, and comfortable designing for complex systems or operational tools. They should be skilled at shaping copy and flows, as well as typography and layout, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with lightweight process and heavy ownership. Curiosity about buildings, HVAC systems, and how real people use tools in the field is essential. Bonus points for experience with complex operational tools or improving control screens.

Responsibilities

The Lead Product Designer will own end-to-end product design for high-impact features, from research to delivery. This includes redesigning critical tools like the mobile dashboard and HVAC control wizards, and shaping how the company handles alerts, sensors, and system controls. Responsibilities also involve collaborating closely with PMs, engineers, and building staff, conducting user research and field testing, and maintaining and evolving the design system. The role requires balancing speed and intentionality to deliver iterative improvements while driving toward elegant long-term solutions.
