Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field and have a minimum of 10 years of experience in automated facilities or equipment maintenance within logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing environments. Proven success in building and managing multi-site maintenance teams and programs is required, along with a deep understanding of automated warehouse systems, automation equipment, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical infrastructure. Experience managing third-party maintenance vendors and contractors, coupled with strong analytical and project management skills, is essential. Travel up to 50% of the time is necessary, requiring a valid driver's license and the ability to drive or fly to client and customer locations.

Responsibilities

The Director of Maintenance will develop and implement standardized maintenance programs, including preventive, predictive, and reactive strategies, across all Greenbox fulfillment centers. This role involves hiring, leading, and managing regional/site-level maintenance teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include overseeing contracts and performance of third-party vendors, partnering with automation, facilities, and operations teams to ensure system support, and tracking asset performance, system reliability, and maintenance KPIs to drive uptime and cost efficiency. The Director will also create and enforce compliance protocols for safety, inspections, and maintenance recordkeeping, and support new site launches by ensuring maintenance readiness.
