Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred
  • Minimum 10+ years of EHSS experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or other high-hazard industries
  • Proven expertise in EHSS management systems, including ISO14001 and ISO45001
  • Experience in global document governance and digital document management systems (e.g., Veeva)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead global training development and deployment across global teams
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and change management skills
  • Preferred: Professional certifications (CIH, CSP); ISO 14001/45001 Lead Auditor credential

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, deployment, and sustainment of the EHSS management system across global and site-level operations, ensuring alignment with relevant ISO standards and internal requirements
  • Own lifecycle management of global EHSS standards and procedures, including oversight of global documentation within the enterprise document management system
  • Lead and oversee execution of core management system elements such as compliance evaluations, risk management, continuous improvement and best practice sharing
  • Oversee development and delivery of EHSS training programs, collaborating with SMEs, centralized BMS training teams, and external providers; manage LMS integration and content strategy
  • Prepare and coordinate annual EHSS management reviews, including data analysis, performance evaluation, and executive-level reporting
  • Partner with EHSS digital systems teams to support deployment and sustainment of digital tools, including AI-enablement, for compliance and risk management
  • Maintain and manage regulatory subscriptions and ensure integration of relevant standards into EHSS practices
  • Be senior subject matter expert and leader on management systems, providing leadership expertise to site teams to ensure understanding and effective implementation of management system requirements
