Requirements

  • 7+ years of marketing experience, with 5+ in developer marketing, developer relations, or technical community leadership
  • Deep understanding of developer audiences, culture, and engagement channels
  • A proven track record in building and scaling global developer programs
  • Strong network in the developer community and familiarity with platforms like GitHub, Dev.to, Hacker News, etc
  • Experience managing large budgets across paid, events, and community programs
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Set the strategy for developer marketing globally, ensuring an authentic voice across all channels and programs
  • Own and develop key partnerships with developer-facing communities and influencers (e.g., Hacker News, Hackernoon)
  • Oversee developer events strategy, including conference sponsorships, speaking engagements, workshops, and creative activations like SwagSearch
  • Lead flagship developer acquisition programs like DocSearch, Open Source/Startup Programs, and startup outreach, ensuring measurable developer engagement
  • Direct paid marketing for developers, including advertising campaigns, sponsorships, and experimental acquisition channels
  • Manage budgets for growth events, paid media, and community initiatives, ensuring high ROI on spend
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and GTM teams to ensure developer needs inform roadmap and messaging
  • Lead and grow a high-performing team across developer evangelism and documentation, fostering collaboration and career development
