Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
3–5 years in a similar role
Technical knowledge of quality systems, supplier development, APQP process, and cost analysis
Desirable: knowledge of project management concepts and cost/productivity savings
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and ERP systems
Travel availability (monthly)

Responsibilities
Manage supplier activities related to regular production phases, opportunity management, and cost-saving project implementation
Develop parts, components, and processes with strategic suppliers, supporting operational needs in coordination with the Senior Purchasing Manager and global/local purchasing teams
Responsible for materials received at the plant according to supplier and commodity assignments
Serve as the first point of contact for price increase requests or related issues, and analyze their nature
Manage supplier-requested changes (eSCR) with the plant team, ensuring approval, rejection, and communication to suppliers
Handle cost and design changes during the production phase resulting from eSCRs
Lead capacity analysis with suppliers and coordinate necessary actions during production and project phases (Sourcing and Run at Rate prior to production)
Commercially align strategic suppliers to create value through competitive pricing and long-term cost reduction commitments
Maintain updated pricing in the ERP system
Negotiate and achieve raw material price improvements through local supplier development programs or supplier substitution, in coordination with the Purchasing Manager and global purchasing group
Administer commodities based on global market trends, applying periodic adjustments as needed
Ensure the supplier base complies with BorgWarner’s terms and conditions
Create, review, and approve commercial contracts (NDA, AL, GT&C, VMI, Schedule Agreement, AIF) with direct suppliers
Create, execute, and monitor cost reduction projects in alignment with the annual budget
Participate in and obtain Sourcing Board approval for business allocation proposals
Manage commercial aspects related to quality or delivery issues
Lead cost-saving projects through packaging specification changes with suppliers
Conduct comparative analysis of supplier quotations
Analyze investment projects
Follow up on the APQP process from Sourcing Nomination to Production and material receipt at the plant, in collaboration with the Commodity Manager
Actively and enthusiastically participate in DE&I and plant engagement activities
Adhere to Global Star Safety Program, including safety rules, practices, and training as outlined in the local BorgWarner Safety Policy Manual
