Diagnostics Technical Specialist Trainer
Position Overview
The Diagnostics Technical Specialist Trainer's primary objective is to train current and upcoming Diagnostic Technical Specialists (DTSs) to be proficient in on-site technical support, instrument repair, and troubleshooting the entire Diagnostics product line. This role is responsible for developing and implementing process improvements, providing field support, and maintaining updated communication of these process improvements between technical support and the DTSs.

- US Remote - Southeast (Atlanta, TN, KY, AL) and Southwest (TX, NM, AZ, UT)
- This role will support the US South Region. Candidates from Southeast or Southwest locations are considered.
Responsibilities
- Organizing and instructing remote and corporate training for the pacesetter group.
- Providing phone support for DTSs in the field when not traveling.
- Conducting site visits, particularly for escalations, to assist in resolution.
- Providing guidance, instruction, and training on the entire product line to enhance productivity and performance for all new hires.
- Participating in special projects and assignments as needed.
- Collaborating with the Technical Support Supervisor to improve overall procedures, processes, and continued training.
- Communicating policy and process updates directly between the Technical Support Representative and DTSs.
- Completing all necessary documentation in CRM, including Exit reports and Account Visit Summary reports.
- Completing expenses via the internal expense management system on a weekly basis.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Associate degree required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in technical support and/or experience in a clinical setting is required.
Technical Skills
- Excellent telephone manner.
- Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, Data Entry).
- Strong verbal, written, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage workload and prioritize requests to meet deadlines.
- Creative problem-solving, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimum direction.
- Team player.
Travel
- 80% Travel
- Overnight field travel is required for training and/or on-site customer visits. Generally, 50% travel.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base Pay Range: $71,000 – $102,000 (This range reflects anticipated base pay if located in Colorado; actual pay may vary based on location and other factors.)
- This position is eligible for short-term incentive compensation.
