Position Overview

Supabase is seeking a Developer Relations Engineer to empower developers to discover, learn, and build with Supabase, the Postgres development platform. You will create high-impact content, build real-world projects, and represent Supabase across communities and events. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about both coding and teaching others.

Responsibilities

Make Content

• Publish compelling technical content, with a focus on video, to accelerate developer learning of Supabase.
• Build demos and tutorials.
• Ship real-world applications utilizing Supabase and related technologies such as Next.js, React, and Stripe.
• Write guides that are easy to follow and adaptable by others.

Represent Supabase

• Speak at meetups and community events.
• Conduct live coding sessions and engage with the developer ecosystem.
• Serve as a visible and trusted voice for the Supabase platform.

Support and Grow the Community

• Acknowledge and celebrate community contributors.
• Answer questions and highlight innovative projects.
• Relay developer feedback to the Supabase team.

Collaborate Across the Company

• Work closely with engineering, product, and growth teams to amplify product launches, prioritize content creation, and streamline the user onboarding experience.

Qualifications

You Might Be a Fit If You:

• Have experience building full-stack applications and enjoy sharing your knowledge.
• Create content that inspires others to start coding.
• Are comfortable writing video scripts and code (TypeScript).
• Thrive in community environments, whether online (Discord, Twitter, YouTube) or in-person.
• Are self-directed, organized, and enthusiastic about contributing to open source.

Requirements:

• Based in the United States.
• Strong engineering skills, particularly with JavaScript or TypeScript, Postgres, and modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Svelte, Vue).
• Proven experience in creating technical content (written or video).
• Comfortable representing a product publicly (on camera, on stage, or online).

Bonus Points If You Have:

• A growing audience on platforms like YouTube, Twitch, or Twitter.
• Previous experience in Developer Relations or open source.
• Experience using and enjoying Supabase.
