Responsibilities

This position is 70% focused on code development/modification and 30% on troubleshooting.

• Provide customer support, including troubleshooting, software upgrades, and enhancements.
• Develop software extensions and integrations using specific APIs.
• Ensure quality of code by performing unit testing and code reviews.
• Perform intermediate system configuration and customization.
• Perform intermediate installations of tools to support development.
• Develop technical and functional specifications based on software design and performance.
• Assist with data modeling and requirements definition mapping.
• Provide maintenance and continuity to projects directly with the customer.
• Status reporting within DevOps tools.
• DevOps development.
• ThingWorx application development.
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Perform intermediate system administrative responsibilities.
• Perform Data Migration (Data Analysis, and Migration using an ETL process).
• Commit to meeting customer service metrics and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Provide status reporting within the team and with customers.
• Manage requirements from multiple customers simultaneously.
• Work with diverse and cross-cultural teams.
• Contribute to internal programs and tool building.
• Assist in developing technology demonstrations for the broader Rockwell Automation organization.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Digital Software Development, or related field.
• Experience in troubleshooting.
• Experience with Relational and Non-Relational databases.
• Functional support and enablement for users.
• Ability to implement system configuration changes and application enhancements.
• Experience using leading software development practices, technical documentation (requirements, functional specifications, test plans).
• Exposure to AWS or Azure cloud.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with customers, peers, and managers.
• Experience with requirements and the process of translating them into well-engineered and integrated technical solutions, with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience developing in any of the following: Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, .NET, SQL languages, or related.
• Experience as a team lead of a technical team is a plus.
• Experience developing and publishing mobile applications is a plus.
• Network management is a plus.
