Candidates should have at least 4 years of experience in Delivery Operations, PS Operations, Consulting Operations, or Revenue/Services Ops within a SaaS, PaaS, or services organization. Proficiency with Salesforce and Professional Services Automation (PSA) systems, including administration of objects, reports, and workflows, is required. Strong analytical skills, expert-level spreadsheet proficiency, and familiarity with BI tools like Looker or Tableau, along with basic SQL knowledge, are also necessary. A solid understanding of project accounting principles, including fixed fee versus Time & Materials billing, margin calculations, and Work in Progress (WIP), is essential.
The Delivery Operations Manager will be responsible for running the weekly Delivery business rhythm, including forecast reviews, staffing standups, at-risk project reviews, and backlog health. They will maintain a rolling 13-week delivery and revenue forecast, track variances, and drive corrective actions. This role involves building and maintaining dashboards for utilization, margin, delivery status, and capacity, as well as establishing and monitoring project P&L. The manager will partner with Finance on revenue recognition, WIP, backlog, and DSO impacts, and ensure accurate time entry, expense submission, and milestone completion for invoicing. They will own supply/demand planning, role forecasting, and staffing requests, track utilization, and recommend hiring or contractor backfills. Additionally, the manager will maintain a skills inventory, set up the initial PSA system, ensure data accuracy and process compliance in PSA and CRM systems, and define/enforce a services data dictionary. Responsibilities also include translating SOWs into deliverable work plans, partnering with Sales Ops for opportunity handoffs, aligning with Finance on billing cadence and revenue policies, creating and maintaining process documentation, standardizing SOW templates and project plans, and training PMs/consultants on operational best practices and system workflows. Finally, the manager will analyze trends to reduce delivery risk and improve throughput, and lead pilots for new tools or process changes.
