Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency preferred (candidates without must pass pre-employment assessment)
  • Background in manufacturing environment and Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college in business, engineering, or materials management required, with minimum 4 years’ customer service experience in aerospace manufacturing or closely related industry
  • Or, High School diploma or equivalent with minimum 6 years’ customer service experience in aerospace manufacturing or closely related industry
  • Quality communication skills
  • Interpretation of information furnished orally, written, and/or diagram form
  • Time management - well organized, ability to prioritize, maintain focus, and follow through to end of projects
  • Customer relationship building
  • Works effectively independently and in a team environment
  • Capable of practical problem solving and decision making using analytical skills
  • Use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required; experience with Access software desired
  • Effectively presents information, responds to questions in one-on-one and group environments

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and direct internal and external customer orders through the manufacturing process
  • Respond to delivery-related or product-related inquiries, including direct communication with plant operations, shipping, and quality
  • Daily engagement with the Delivery Assurance Manager to identify delivery risks, barriers, and delivery status
  • Constantly identify obstacles early, actively work to resolve impediments, and escalate when needed
  • Identify and participate in resolution of process flow routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Maintain delivery schedules to ensure timely completion (horse blankets, LOB, etc.), and communicate clear and timely statuses through tools to upstream customers
  • Work closely with site operations to ensure stable workflow of orders, priorities, and stock management (e.g., stagnant WIP, work order issues, holds), including direct communication with Master Schedulers, Materials Managers, and Central Planning Manager
  • At some sites, schedule production using site scheduling tools, adhering to capacity and site limitations; at sites with master scheduler, work closely to ensure timely release and correct flow of production orders
  • Participate in cross-functional discussions in delivery clinics to identify root cause and prioritized corrective actions
  • Identify and direct resolution of supplier capacity issues and drive action plans to mitigate delivery and capacity risk
