Candidates must have over 7 years of experience in business development, program management, or supply chain leadership within the defense, aerospace, or industrial sectors. A deep understanding of the U.S. Defense Industrial Base, including its structure, key stakeholders, procurement processes, and regulatory environment is essential. Proven ability to win and manage contracts with prime contractors, government entities, and other DIB participants is required, along with exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Familiarity with supply chain dynamics and manufacturing processes within the defense industry is also necessary.
The Defense Industrial Base Lead will work with senior leaders to develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to strengthen relationships with key players in the DIB. They will lead business development efforts, driving strategic partnerships and collaborations within the defense and aerospace ecosystem. The role involves building and maintaining trusted relationships with defense contractors and industry leaders to secure contracts. They will identify and pursue opportunities for joint ventures and technology integration, act as the company’s primary liaison to the DIB, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions. Additionally, the Lead will monitor trends in the defense industry and oversee the capture and proposal process for DIB-related contracts.
