Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Demonstrated ability in data validation, quality assurance, or testing within a business intelligence, analytics, or reporting environment is required. Experience with Power BI, including DAX and Power Query (M), strong SQL skills, and experience writing test plans and documenting test cases are essential. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, ETL workflows, testing frameworks or scripting tools, diligent organizational skills, and effective communication skills are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Data Quality and Testing Analyst will collaborate with report developers and data owners to understand data flows and business rules. They will design and implement test cases to validate data transformations, calculations, and visualizations in Power BI. Responsibilities include monitoring data refresh processes, identifying anomalies, resolving issues with technical teams, and developing a framework for automated and manual data validation. The analyst will perform root cause analysis of data quality issues, ensure alignment with data governance standards, document test results, and support continuous improvement by recommending automation for validation workflows.
