Requirements

Experience with AWS services (S3, Glue, Lake Formation, Lambda, Redshift, Step Functions, IAM, VPC)
Mastery of Infrastructure as Code with AWS CDK (bonus for TypeScript fluency)
Strong proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python
Knowledge of Data Lake architectures (Medallion/zoned), Parquet, Delta Lake, schema evolution
DevOps/Software engineering practices: Git, CI/CD, testing, agile methodologies
Experience with containers: Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or Fargate
Analytical problem-solving mindset, curiosity, and eagerness to tackle challenges
Strong communication skills to explain complex ideas simply to engineers and non-technical stakeholders
Collaborative team player who shares and uplifts others
Self-starter who takes initiative, owns work, and drives to completion
Location: Bucharest (hybrid, 2x/week in office)

Responsibilities

Architect and engineer robust, cost-efficient, high-performing data infrastructure on AWS
Design and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines to connect systems and enable decision-making
Automate provisioning and management of platform resources using AWS CDK (Infrastructure as Code)
Implement top-tier monitoring, alerting, and logging to proactively identify and resolve issues
Contribute to tech strategy and innovate to shape the platform's future
Champion data governance, security (GDPR, CCPA), and quality best practices
Create clear, comprehensive platform documentation
Lead technical initiatives and collaborate with Data Science, Analytics, and Engineering teams
Mentor team members, share knowledge, code wisdom, and best practices to elevate team performance
