Requirements

Candidates should possess at least 5 years of experience building and maintaining data infrastructure at scale, demonstrating fluency in modern data tools and cloud-native ecosystems such as dbt, Airflow, Snowflake/BigQuery, Kafka, and Spark. Experience designing dimensional data models and optimizing warehouse performance is also required, along with a proven ability to partner closely with analytics, product, or machine learning teams to deliver clean, reliable, and well-documented data.

Responsibilities

The Staff Data Engineer will play a key role in shaping the vision, architecture, and implementation of Kindred’s end-to-end data infrastructure, partnering with engineering, product, and business leaders to understand data needs and influence the long-term data architecture. They will build scalable and reliable data pipelines to support analytics, operations, and product experiences, design and implement efficient batch and real-time data flows, collaborate with software engineers to instrument key events, develop well-modeled data layers, implement quality checks and monitoring, continuously optimize pipelines, and contribute to incident response and data uptime while mentoring others and setting foundational practices.
