Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field, or have 1-3 years of relevant professional experience. Experience with ETL design, development, and data warehousing concepts is required, along with hands-on work with big data ecosystem tools like Hive, Presto, Hadoop, HDFS, Parquet, or ORC. Proficiency in Python for programming and SQL for complex queries is necessary. Proven experience with distributed data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark or Flink, knowledge of Apache Kafka for event streaming, and experience with cloud platforms like AWS are essential. Proficiency in Linux/Unix shell scripting and exposure to leveraging LLMs and AI-powered developer tools for productivity are also required.
