Requirements

Candidates should possess experience as a Data Engineer, including working with analysts and engineering teams, with expertise in data warehousing, ETL/ELT pipelines, and analytics infrastructure; strong SQL skills encompassing schema design, query optimization, and data model evolution; and experience with modern data stack tools such as Snowflake, dbt, and cloud platforms, preferably AWS, along with an ownership mindset and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

The Data Engineer will operate and optimize the company’s current data tools, including Prefect, Snowflake, dbt, Rudderstack, Hightouch, Fivetran, and Looker; collaborate with engineering teams to add metrics to underlying systems and code for improved user behavior visibility; build and design new data pipelines into the Snowflake instance, utilizing AWS and on-premises orchestration tools to advance data infrastructure maturity; collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and business teams to enrich tools like Salesforce and Hubspot with accurate data for informed decision-making; ensure reliable data system updates and consistent data syncing between systems; guide product and service evolution through data normalization; and develop data strategies to analyze user engagement, product utilization, and user acquisition/activation insights.
