Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 2 years of technical experience in data engineering. A strong understanding of normalized relational data structures, star schema, snowflake schema, data architecture, and design principles is required. Proficiency in SQL database design, optimization, and ETL support, along with experience in modular and reusable code development, is essential. Experience working within cloud ecosystems like ADLS/Databricks/ADF/ASA, Snowflake, or other cloud-based platforms is necessary. The role also requires the ability to analyze data for diverse business needs, design data movement and orchestration solutions aligned with strategic goals, and proven experience working with cross-functional teams to translate requirements effectively. Demonstrated ability to articulate ideas clearly in both written and oral forms is also a requirement.

Responsibilities

The Data Engineer will deliver integrated Medicare Advantage risk adjustment solutions by building and maintaining data processing architectures and solutions for Prospective risk adjustment initiatives. Responsibilities include writing and maintaining modular code for automation, such as SQL stored procedures and ETLs, adhering to best practices. This involves participating in pair programming sessions, conducting code reviews, thoroughly testing and documenting code, and explaining work details. The engineer will research and resolve software-related issues, transform data into actionable insights to improve member service, and collaborate with Business Intelligence and Software engineers to optimize code performance and tool selection. Developing an understanding of the team's technology stack, business segment strategy, and operational objectives is also part of the role.
