Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Security Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 10 years of experience in project management for data centers, construction, or high-security environments is required. Proven expertise in physical and technical security infrastructure, including CCTV, access control, alarms, and monitoring systems, is essential. A strong understanding of data center security standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and TIA-942 is necessary, along with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
The Data Center Physical Security Manager will lead and manage end-to-end security infrastructure projects across multiple data center locations. This includes coordinating with construction teams, contractors, and security vendors to integrate physical and technical security measures, and developing/managing project timelines, budgets, and resources. Responsibilities also include conducting risk assessments, overseeing the design and implementation of physical security features like vehicle controls and mantraps, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The role involves managing the deployment of CCTV, access control, and monitoring solutions, integrating physical security systems with network infrastructure, and overseeing vendor selection and commissioning. Additionally, the manager will implement IPMS for real-time monitoring, develop security operations protocols, ensure system maintenance and upgrades, train security teams, conduct security audits, and serve as the primary point of contact for all physical security matters at data centers.
