Position Overview
Business Intelligence Analysts within the automotiveMastermind (aM) Product Insights team are crucial for measuring the impact of aM in the market, communicating the value delivered by each product in the portfolio, and identifying opportunities to enhance products and their creation processes.
Responsibilities
- Data Analysis & Interpretation:
- Conduct rigorous identification, analysis, and interpretation of trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Apply deep, creative, and rigorous thinking to solve broad, platform-wide technical and/or business problems.
- Reporting & Insights:
- Design and develop management reports and supporting ad hoc analyses to answer key questions, such as:
- Is product performance aligned with the sales pitch?
- Are key product components delivering value?
- Is marketing outreach effective?
- Are results consistent across clients?
- Identify key value drivers and opportunities for/sources of error across products and processes.
- Create client-facing visualizations to clearly articulate the aM value proposition and identify business opportunities for internal and external stakeholders.
- Product Improvement & Collaboration:
- Develop short-term preventive or detective measures.
- Lead medium/long-term product improvement initiatives through close collaboration with data transformation, engineering, QA, and production support team members.
- Support and inform account leads regarding client and regional sales mix, performance, and aM contributions.
- Communication & Data Management:
- Communicate clearly across business stakeholders and analytics customers.
- Identify and access additional data assets that could be leveraged to answer business problems.
- Coordinate with data engineers to design and enable repeatable processes and generate deliverables for routine business questions.
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years of professional/internship experience as a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence Analyst in a similar analytical + technical role.
- Familiarity with the application of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (Excel, R, SPSS, SAS).
- Familiarity with visualization software packages (Data Studio, Tableau, PowerBI).
- Awareness of reporting packages (Business Objects), databases (SQL), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to think quickly on your feet and handle ambiguity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to execute against multiple projects as part of a team or independently, while managing competing deadlines.
- Automotive experience is a plus.
- Ability to regularly assess your own performance and adapt your work to achieve better results.

Compensation & Benefits (US Applicants Only)
- Anticipated Base Salary Range: $59,212 to $103,897. The final base salary will be determined by geographical location, experience, and qualifications.
- Incentive Plan: This position is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
