Requirements

Candidates should possess 6-8+ years of experience in consumer insights and market research, preferably in technical, digital, or video product environments. Proficiency with survey programming software like Decipher or Qualtrics is required, with familiarity in UserTesting.com and SPSS being a plus. Strong skills in Excel, G-Suite, and data visualization are necessary, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting. Excellent prioritization, persuasive communication, and demonstrated experience working with product and engineering teams are essential. The ideal candidate is autonomous, takes initiative, and excels at collaboration and feedback.

Responsibilities

The Principal Researcher will leverage expertise to support product group success, conduct UX research across the Vimeo platform, and synthesize findings into actionable roadmap insights. Responsibilities include integrating new data sources, streamlining research operations, leading recruitment and moderation for 1:1 sessions, and presenting findings to stakeholders. The role involves maintaining the Research Toolkit, innovating data collection methods, developing reporting and dashboards, and leading survey instrument programming and testing. The researcher will partner with the Security team on data privacy, mentor team members, and drive key business metrics to foster Vimeo's growth.
