The Customer Success Engineer (CSE) acts as a trusted advisor, guiding customers to achieve their desired outcomes and success with Cribl solutions. This highly technical role requires strategic coordination across functions to ensure customers realize continuous value. The CSE will engage with various technical and management levels within customer organizations, demonstrating Cribl's value in business discussions with executives. The ultimate goal is to help customers achieve their data goals and maximize their investment in Cribl.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted/strategic advisor for customers, driving the entire Customer Success lifecycle from onboarding to expansion.
  • Become the trusted Cribl expert as customers build observability pipelines to transform data.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders and senior management to drive success plans and KPIs at key customers.
  • Communicate effectively with tech-touch customers using a customer success platform, automating responses with data-driven metrics.
  • Drive continued and expanded value by expanding usage of existing use cases and identifying new use cases, teams, and data sources to reduce, enrich, and route data.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Cribl sales, marketing, product, experience, and engineering teams as the voice of the customer.
  • Ensure customer health throughout their journey with Cribl, enabling them to realize value and grow as customers.
  • Inspire, mentor, and coach team members as an integral part of the Customer Experience organization.
  • Occasionally perform duties outside standard working hours due to the remote-first, multi-timezone nature of the company.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years in a related function with direct customer advocacy and engagement experience in a post-sales capacity.
  • Passion for customer success and empathy for customer outcomes and value.
  • Customer-first mindset with strong communication and relationship management skills, capable of managing customer expectations through empathy and active listening.
  • Proven track record of working with large, complex enterprises and developing relationships in a high-growth environment.
  • Experience with Observability, Logs, Metrics, IT Operations, and Security, with a deep understanding of managing data pipelines throughout their lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to drive continuous product value by developing new use cases related to reducing, reusing, enriching, and routing data to achieve customer outcomes.
  • Quick learner with strong technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed (up to 25%).
  • Must reside in the Netherlands.
  • Fluent speaking and writing skills in English.
  • Experience with administration of Data Engineering platforms (e.g., Splunk, Elastic, Datadog, Snowflake).
  • Solid technical understanding of managing customers through Customer Success Platforms (e.g., Gainsight or PlanHat).
  • Working knowledge of major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
