Grafana Labs is a remote-first, open-source powerhouse with over 20 million global users of Grafana, the open-source visualization tool. Grafana is used worldwide to monitor diverse applications, from beehives to climate change. Our recognizable dashboards have been featured in prominent events and organizations like NASA launches, Minecraft HQ, Wimbledon, and the Tour de France.
Grafana Labs also supports over 3,000 companies, including Bloomberg, JPMorgan Chase, and eBay, in managing their observability strategies with the Grafana LGTM Stack. This stack can be deployed as a fully managed service (Grafana Cloud) or self-managed (Grafana Enterprise Stack), featuring scalable metrics (Grafana Mimir), logs (Grafana Loki), and traces (Grafana Tempo).
We are experiencing rapid growth while staying true to our core values: an open-source legacy, a global collaborative culture, and a passion for meaningful work. Our team thrives in an innovation-driven environment characterized by transparency, autonomy, and trust.
We encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every requirement. If this role excites you, we'd love to hear from you for what could be a career-defining opportunity.
We are seeking the founding manager for our scaled Observability Architect (OA) team at Grafana Labs. As an OA leader, you will be at the forefront of evolving our practice to meet the unique demands of our customers. This is an exciting opportunity to be one of the first leaders of our Observability Architecture team – a technically elite group poised to redefine the role of a Customer Solution Engineer in our industry. This team is rapidly becoming the benchmark in the Observability space.
You will be responsible for all facets of building and managing a team of high-performing Observability Architects, who serve as our in-house, customer-facing solution experts.
This role specifically focuses on Grafana Labs’ Foundation, or scaled customer segment. The Foundation team distinguishes itself from our high-touch enterprise segments by driving activation, consumption, and retention at scale through programmatic, data-driven approaches. Each Observability Architect impacts a high volume of customers. Your team will leverage proactive outreach, one-to-many enablement programs, lightweight reactive assistance, and automated workflows to help a broad customer base quickly realize value from Grafana, minimizing the need for bespoke, hands-on engagements.
The Observability Architect is a specialist in both deep technical knowledge and the customer lifecycle. Working with account teams, they own the platform onboarding, adoption, and expansion experience for Grafana's customers, ensuring the rapid and successful application of our technology. The OA team drives Grafana Labs’ worldwide growth by educating existing customers to ensure their happiness, success, and realization of genuine value. They share their technical and product expertise through demos, hands-on enablement, presentations, design guidance, technical evaluations, and ongoing interactions. They partner closely with our Sales team to identify new customer problems to solve. OAs are our customers’ primary technical contact and serve as the voice of the customer to our Product Management and Engineering teams.
