Pythian is seeking a Customer Engineer to act as a strategic advisor to customers, understanding their business goals and shaping best-in-class solutions. This role involves aligning vision with practicality to deliver outstanding outcomes across sales, pipeline generation, and solution development. The ideal candidate will engage with C-level stakeholders, understand their needs, and collaborate with technical consultants and sales teams. A deep familiarity with Public Cloud Platforms, Infrastructure technology, and enterprise migrations to newer platforms is essential.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Engaging with assigned or targeted customer organizations.
  • Understanding customer business and establishing technical and business credibility.
  • Cultivating relationships and envisioning creative sales and solution strategies that generate additional revenue.
  • Overseeing holistic solutions from both business and technical perspectives, considering constraints like costs, contract terms, business conditions, and the client's technical environment.
  • Organizing and leading technical customer needs identification and scoping calls.
  • Ensuring participation of relevant technology resources and driving the EAD process to create viable, competitive, and timely solutions.
  • Leading the creation of customer-specific services and technology solutions.
  • Coordinating teams of delivery and project management resources.
  • Integrating partner technology and teams.
  • Owning the production of client-facing statements of work.
  • Creating and cultivating key trusted-advisor relationships with senior-level IT executives.
  • Demonstrating an understanding of key business challenges within customer markets and how technology-enabled business solutions can address those needs.
  • Owning the technical, services, and architecture agenda for named customers.
