Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell Medtronic products and services in specified geographic areas and/or specific customer accounts to achieve or exceed sales targets
  • Develop, establish, and strengthen long-term relationships with stakeholders, including distributors and healthcare professionals
  • Identify potential customers, assess needs, and provide products/services to maximize the benefits of Medtronic products and/or services
  • Promote and establish education on company products and/or services
  • Conduct market research, including customer and competitor activities
  • Implement market development plans/strategies and changes as needed
  • Convey customer feedback on new products and/or modifications to existing products or applications to internal stakeholders, including R&D, operations, and marketing
  • Establish and manage sales for multiple small to medium-sized customers independently under general supervision
  • Identify new customers and prospects
  • Build relationships and influence parties at a business level
  • Communicate with external customers and/or suppliers, including negotiations and demonstrations, to manage relationships and close sales
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance departments to build complex contracts
  • Make adjustments or suggest improvements in the sales process to solve problems or enhance effectiveness in the work area
  • Suggest changes to customer strategies to achieve sales targets
  • Provide guidance and assistance to entry-level sales personnel and/or support staff
