Requirements

  • Ability to perform customer servicing, order editing, pricing, writing, data entry, expediting, and related duties for connector products, industrial products, and fluid power products
  • Capability to receive and review inquiries/orders, verify parts/assemblies, price per established practices, and contact customers/supervisors as needed
  • Skills in providing application assistance, product recommendations, and making custom hose/tubing assemblies on-site
  • Proficiency in entering orders into computer systems, obtaining pricing/delivery info, editing/writing orders, and handling picking/shipping
  • Experience in investigating/resolving customer inquiries/complaints on deliveries/pricing within established practices
  • Ability to coordinate with outside sales, fabrication, and other personnel, provide sales leads, and keep teams informed
  • Competence in performing daily cycle counting, resolving deviations, updating systems, and monitoring physical inventories (entire inventory counted twice yearly)
  • Skills in maintaining sales/account/cost records, preparing reports, and managing product literature/technical info
  • Willingness to travel to other New England facilities as needed (e.g., events, training, coverage), with reimbursement per policy
  • Commitment to supporting The Hope Group Business Management System (BMS) procedures and continual improvement

Responsibilities

  • Receive and review inquiries/orders, ensure correct part identification, price per records/practices, refer issues to supervisor, and contact customers for info
  • Provide application assistance, product/service recommendations, and make custom hose/tubing assemblies for customers at counter
  • Enter orders into computer with all data, obtain pricing/delivery info, finalize with customer, edit/write orders, check against quotations, pick/ship orders, and assist customers at counter
  • Receive/investigate customer inquiries/complaints on deliveries/pricing, supply info, initiate action/resolution, and refer policy matters to supervisor
  • Coordinate with outside sales force, fabrication, and other personnel; provide leads on new customers/projects/applications
  • Perform daily cycle counting, record counts, resolve deviations, update system; ensure full inventory counted twice yearly; monitor physical vs. computer inventories
  • Maintain sales/account/cost records, prepare reports as instructed, manage product literature, and obtain manufacturer technical info
  • Travel to other facilities as required for events, conferences, training, etc., following reimbursement policy
  • Support BMS procedures/work instructions and their continual improvement
  • Perform other similar/related duties as assigned by supervisor
