Requirements

  • Excellent prospecting, communication, presentation, and networking skills

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting and running presentations both in person and over the phone to small and mid-sized merchants, restaurateurs, and businesses to close deals within a fast sales cycle
  • Explaining the value proposition and demonstrating the Payments Platform
  • Upselling current clients on other Heartland products and services
  • Maintaining regular communication with the Core Payments District Manager
  • Closing sales of business solutions with merchants throughout the area
  • Working closely with the local District Manager to set appointments with business owners via network and referral partnerships
  • Running scheduled appointments, uncovering needs, and presenting Heartland Payments solutions to close sales in small to mid-sized businesses
  • Prospecting new clients
  • Maintaining existing/prospective client records in the CRM system (Atlas), including call notes, scheduled interactions, contact information, and other relevant data
  • Achieving minimum production requirements, including setting first-time appointments, to secure quota
  • Continuously building and developing knowledge of current product/service portfolio and changes/developments in the financial technology industry
  • Attending weekly team meetings and weekly one-on-one with leader
  • Participating in training period with District Manager on short-cycle sales process using CRM platforms (Atlas and Salesforce) for lead generation, sales presentations, client financial analysis, and paperless contract processing
