Requirements

Candidates should possess a BS/BA degree in project management, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. A minimum of 10 years of experience in post-sales customer delivery roles, including scoping projects, developing estimates and proposals, executing plans, and presenting to executive audiences is required. The ideal candidate will also have 5+ years of direct experience in people management, coaching, mentoring, and developing teams. Extensive hands-on expertise with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and project management certification (e.g., PMP, Agile, Scrum) are highly desirable. Experience leading projects involving databases, data warehouses, data processing, large-scale database technology, cloud-based solutions, data integration, and data transformation tools is essential. Strong consulting skills, including mapping business requirements to technical solutions and problem-solving, are necessary.

Responsibilities

The Consulting Manager will lead and develop a team of Services Delivery Managers (SDMs), providing operational, tactical, and strategic delivery leadership for a portfolio of projects. They will supervise and direct project portfolios to ensure customer commitments are met on time and within budget, proactively identify and address project risks, and champion continuous improvement in delivery processes. Responsibilities include mentoring SDMs, leading recruiting and onboarding efforts, acting as a project and program management expert for Snowflake implementations, and providing delivery quality oversight. The manager will collaborate with Professional Services Practice Teams and Sales Account Teams to support sales pursuits, including scoping projects and creating proposals. They will also work with customers, system integrators, and technology vendors on project progress, develop processes to improve services delivery, provide guidance on resolving customer-specific project challenges, and own escalations. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake’s products and marketing, and presenting services delivery capabilities to various stakeholders.
