Extensive experience aligning diverse, multi-location teams to deliver projects in alignment with commitments is required, along with a strong sense of collaboration with leadership. Deep professional knowledge in internal stakeholder management, people management, and software project delivery is necessary. The ability to create sound work plans, resolve competing trade-offs, manage up to 20 people, provide career development guidance, and remain composed in challenging situations is crucial. Demonstrated experience in Agile best practices and delivery methodologies is also required. Experience working with sales and solutioning stakeholders on staffing and timeline commitments is a plus.
The Consulting Manager will collaborate with GDC Consulting Operations to assign project resources to client engagements and build relationships with internal stakeholders. They will manage their own projects as required and oversee small concurrent client projects, identifying risks, escalations, and resolutions. Responsibilities include managing and resolving escalations between projects, clients, or internal organizations, and overseeing resource planning and coordination of project activities. The manager will mentor staff in Agile methodologies and project management best practices, provide teams with clear responsibilities and growth plans, and ensure consultants use bench time for skill improvement. They will monitor program scope alignment with strategic business objectives, solicit feedback from Delivery Owners, and conduct interviews for prospective GDC candidates.
