Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, and have at least 5 years of experience as a Project Engineer in the construction industry. Professional registration or PMP certification is preferred, along with strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards. Candidates must have strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to interpret construction plans/drawings.

Responsibilities

The Construction Project Engineer will support the Construction Project Manager in overseeing major aspects of construction work, including the acquisition of materials and equipment, and planning for costs. They will coordinate with field personnel and project leadership to monitor progress, generate Request for Information (RIFs), and provide technical information to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications. The role involves managing project scope, schedule, and budget, preparing change order documentation, creating project management and quality control plans, and preparing Critical Path Method Schedules. Additionally, the engineer will conduct construction inspections, maintain project files, and create inspection checklists, while also assisting with material take-offs and construction cost estimates.
