  • 4-6 years of experience in the field of electronics technology
  • US Citizenship required
  • Working knowledge in the field of electronics technology
  • Good understanding of computer hardware
  • Strong communication skills
  • Familiar with using different computer applications and able to navigate simple software
  • Thorough understanding of the general/technical aspects of the job; capable of ordinary problem resolution and independent judgment

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and tests operability of electronic systems and components
  • Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctioning systems and components
  • Reads/interprets schematics, printouts, and specifications
  • Participates with engineers in debugging and troubleshooting new and existing products
  • Replaces components in servers, including processors, DIMMs, PCA boards, cables, heat sinks, and other high-value material
  • Uses online methods and work instructions to complete starting and identifying issues on hardware at a system level
  • Provides system statuses both verbally and in report form as required
  • Interfaces with engineers, technicians, and Field personnel regarding system-level problems
  • Provides input for areas in the hardware, software, and procedures to improve efficiency
