Requirements

  • US Citizen
  • Typically an Associate's degree or equivalent experience and 4-6 years of experience (may include highly experienced non-degreed individuals or degreed in unrelated field)
  • Working knowledge in the field of electronics technology
  • Computer hardware knowledge with good communication skills
  • Familiarity with using different computer applications and navigating simple software
  • Thorough understanding of the general/technical aspects of the job
  • Ability to work 2nd shift (3:30pm-11:30pm, Monday-Friday)
  • Hybrid work expectation (average 2 days per week in HPE office)

Responsibilities

  • Review and test operability of electronic systems and components
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning systems and components
  • Read/interpret schematics, printouts, and specifications to complete tests and determine functionality of electrical circuitry and components
  • Participate with engineers in debugging and troubleshooting of new and existing products
  • Use online methods and work instructions to start up systems and identify issues on hardware at a system level
  • Replace components in servers, including installation of processors, DIMMs, PCA boards, cables, heat sinks, and other high-value material
  • Work on complex assignments requiring ordinary problem resolution and independent judgment under limited supervision
  • Provide input on hardware, software, and procedures to improve efficiency
  • Provide system statuses verbally and in report form as required
  • Interface with engineers, technicians, and Field personnel regarding system-level problems
  • Other duties as assigned
