Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with law/accounting/finance major preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years’ professional experience including substantial compliance experience in China with pharmaceutical or similar industry experience
  • Basic understanding of Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (or similar local legislation), and local/regional industry codes governing interactions with healthcare professionals and organizations
  • Experience executing compliance projects and risk assessments required, including critical and analytical thinking, ability to develop practical solutions and alert business risks
  • Excellent judgment, strategic influencing skills and leadership ability potential in working with different stakeholders particularly with local and global colleagues
  • Speaking and reading fluency of Mandarin and English both required. Multi-cultural experience and languages preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead China Compliance projects, namely, Compliance Ambassador, Compliance Newsletter, Compliance Week
  • Support IT related programs including AI oriented initiatives, i.e., Veeva Event Management system update based on local circumstances, Compliance ChatBot deployment
  • Generate the training boilerplate covering legal, compliance and monitoring contents for further adaption by respective Legal and Compliance Business Partners
  • Conduct risk assessment based on new model
  • Implement due diligence initiatives based on global guidance, i.e., vendor and internal client communication, training delivery as a back-up option for online version
  • Collect the data on bi-annual basis with respect to medical books which are allocated to HCPs
  • Assist corporate governance matters, i.e., corporate seal administration, corporate filing, etc
  • Act as point of contact for China Legal internally on corporate events and financial requirements, i.e., Annual Kick-off Meeting, budget provisions, etc
  • Other working items as assigned by line manager from time to time
