  • OR Associate of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support degree from an approved institution
  • OR Four years of qualifying work experience in a related human services field (e.g., case management, residential support, developmentally disabled support, vocational rehabilitation) or a combination of education and experience equaling four years
  • OR Qualified Addictions Professional (QAP) or CADC

Responsibilities

  • Deliver mental health services to clients in the community (e.g., clients' homes, clinics, community locations)
  • Empower clients through behavioral interventions using techniques like motivational interviewing, operant conditioning, and cognitive processing to achieve treatment goals and improve well-being
  • Foster recovery and resilience with a supportive educational approach, engaging in activities aligned with treatment goals to meet unique client needs
  • Manage a caseload, collaborating with supervisory staff to maintain a fulfilling workload
  • Participate in staffing sessions to identify client needs, set treatment goals, and develop individualized plans
  • Respond to mental health emergencies using sound judgment and discretion within scope of training
  • Provide comprehensive follow-up services, including for missed appointments, outreach, engagement, and documentation of all interactions (including unsuccessful attempts)
  • Participate in staff development activities such as meetings, training sessions, and workshops
