Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a pre-sales or post-sales technical role. A university degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field is required, or equivalent experience. A strong understanding of data architecture, data analytics, and cloud technology is essential, along with hands-on experience with SQL. Familiarity with database technologies such as Netezza, Exadata, Teradata, and Redshift, as well as scripting languages like Python, Ruby, Perl, and Bash, is a plus. Candidates should possess strong customer-facing skills to effectively communicate with both technical and executive audiences.
The Commercial Solutions Engineer will present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers. They will work hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle, from demo to proof of concept to design and implementation. The role involves maintaining a deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and collaborating with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve Snowflake’s products and marketing.
