High School diploma or GED; Associate’s degree or equivalent preferred
Valid driver’s license and fleet safety certified
ASE certification preferred
Proven sales track record with 3-5 years related selling experience
Working knowledge of Advance products, services, APAL system (including Inventory Management and commercial account paperwork), and automotive systems/aftermarket
Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel (PowerPoint preferred)
Ability to calculate figures (discounts, percentages, sales increases, gross profit)
Ability to review/analyze business reports (e.g., P&L)
Ability to work assorted days, evenings, weekends; occasional overnight travel
Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; lift/move up to 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally; specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment)
Responsibilities
Work with District Leaders, General Managers, and key personnel to achieve goals for assigned accounts
Implement new Commercial Sales programs and support current programs
Visit assigned accounts, make sales calls, develop approaches to position products/services, identify/meet customer needs, maintain sales call activity database
Proactively communicate with Store Team to ensure realistic customer expectations on product availability, accuracy, delivery
Provide feedback to business partners on competitive info, merchandising, services to strengthen market position
Partner in development/retention of Commercial Parts Pros for internal growth/career opportunities
Assist in other functions as assigned/needed (e.g., cleaning, organizing, stocking, POS operation, truck loading/unloading)
