Candidates must possess a Master of CNC lathe equipment including Okuma, Doosan, Takisawa, Citizen, Swiss, and New Britain machines, with a passion for machining and mentoring others. A minimum of 10 years of hands-on CNC lathe setup and machining experience in a high-precision aerospace manufacturing environment is required, along with proficiency in MasterCAM and FANUC controls, strong CNC programming and troubleshooting skills, and in-depth experience machining stainless steel, Inconel, Titanium, and aluminum materials.
As a CNC Lead, the individual will act as the Lathe Subject Matter Expert (SME) across our CNC operations, providing a strong physical presence on the shop floor to support complex setups, troubleshoot issues in real time, and lead by example. They will actively perform CNC lathe setup and machining, including tool setup, offsetting, program adjustments, and first article inspections, lead and coordinate the daily activities of CNC machinists, troubleshoot and resolve machine or process issues, develop and optimize CNC lathe programs, operate and demonstrate proper use of indexable tooling, interpret and apply GD&T requirements, support the production schedule, mentor and train operators, and be willing to work overtime or weekends when required.
