Requirements

Candidates must possess 10+ years of experience in information technology or information security, with a bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, cybersecurity, auditing, or business administration, and a master’s degree in a related field. A minimum of 5 years of IT/IS operations or service delivery experience with increasing responsibility and 3+ years of experience supporting or leading transformational change within IT are required. Strong understanding of risk management approaches, ability to align IT/IS goals with business objectives, and experience with operational reviews or audits are essential. Nice-to-have skills include a FinOps certification and experience with cloud cost management tools and platforms.

Responsibilities

The Cloud FinOps SME will lead the development and implementation of FinOps practices across multi-cloud environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud usage and reduce waste. They will provide insights and reporting on cloud spend and trends, forecast, budget, and help teams stay within targets. Responsibilities include using risk management principles to identify and mitigate financial and operational risks tied to cloud services, participating in reviews and assessments of IT and cloud operations, and supporting IT transformation initiatives by ensuring financial efficiency. The role also involves recommending oversight strategies based on IT/IS goals, risks, and solutions.
