Requirements

  • Field-based position supporting Abbott’s Vascular division in Portland, OR
  • Expertise in vessel closure portfolio, including small and large bore arterial, venous, and future product releases
  • Focus on Electrophysiologists, Interventional Cardiologists, and hospital staff
  • Ability to meet with existing and potential customers (e.g., physicians, physician office groups at hospitals) to identify clinical needs, goals, and constraints
  • Capability to develop relationships with hospital personnel, make new contacts, and identify key decision makers
  • Proficiency in providing clinical support, troubleshooting, and in-service education
  • Skills in educating customers via presentations and demonstrations using various formats (e.g., slides, transparencies, manuals)
  • Attendance at clinical procedures in Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology Lab, and Operating Room
  • Ability to respond to customer needs and complaints with creative solutions or collaboration

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical procedure and product expert for case coverage in the hospital setting
  • Provide case planning, case support coverage, and product pull-through throughout the designated territory and Region as needed
  • Promote Vascular products through education, service, and training of customers in the hospital setting
  • Provide clinical education and sales support to achieve projected sales goals, increase sales revenues, and market share, with heavy focus on Vessel Closure
  • Meet with customers to discuss and demonstrate how Vascular products meet their clinical needs and goals
  • Serve as primary resource for clinical support in case coverage, troubleshooting, and in-service education
  • Educate customers on product merits, proper clinical usage, latest developments, therapies, technologies, and industry items
  • Attend clinical procedures to ensure customer and patient success with Vascular products
  • Respond to customer needs and complaints regarding products and service by developing solutions or collaborating with related personnel
