Candidates must possess advanced presentation skills and business acumen, with a strong understanding of molecular diagnostics for oncology and the evolving competitive landscape. Excellent knowledge of oncology, hematology, chemotherapeutics, and targeted agents is required, along with superior listening and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and effective utilization of Salesforce.com are essential. The role demands the ability to work independently, communicate proactively, manage multiple projects, and prioritize tasks while meeting critical deadlines. A keen understanding of the payor and reimbursement environment in the oncology and diagnostic space is necessary, as is the ability to engage in consultative selling and sell at the executive level. Frequent travel (over 50%) throughout the territory is also required.
The Clinical Account Executive will drive strategic business expansion and collaboration opportunities with major U.S. cancer centers, clinics, Key Opinion Leaders, and Academic Medical Centers within the assigned territory. Responsibilities include structuring detailed strategic plans for client acquisition and retention, maximizing client-bill contracting opportunities, and implementing laboratory services agreements. The role involves collaborating with sales positions to achieve company goals, identifying and developing partnering opportunities, and promoting compliance with new web-based molecular information tools. Additionally, the executive will analyze the competitive landscape, monitor sales performance, develop and implement a comprehensive business plan for the territory, and work effectively with individuals across multiple departments. Embracing and representing the Tempus company culture is also a key responsibility.
