Job Description
The Client Manager II plans, coordinates and manages the execution of direct marketing and digital campaigns primarily customized solutions on behalf of the client and in support of client business objectives and prepared strategic plans; serves as the primary point of daily contact for the client with regard to specific projects which often involves coordination across multiple Vericast locations; and fosters a positive client-company relationship.
Key Duties/Responsibilities
Client Communication and Relationship Management
- Serves as the main point of contact for the client regarding project initiatives (all teams – Marketing, Data Processing, Operations, Purchasing etc.).
- Channels all project-related communications with the client, outside vendors, internal team members, and other company staff members.
- Schedules and leads meetings / conference calls with the client and team members to review project initiatives and communicate updates on progress, opportunities, and financial implications of activities.
- Deepens client relationships through meaningful engagement.
- Acts as a consultant to the client for development and management of Vericast's programs/solutions.
Project Scoping, Pricing, and Upselling
- Serves as the liaison with the production scoping and pricing process on a project basis.
- Identifies upsell opportunities.
- Coordinates the generation of cost estimates, PWOs/proposals.
- Answers client questions on product or capabilities.
Strategic Account Collaboration
- Serves as the liaison with the Business Development Executive and Strategic Account team assigned to a client project.
- Reviews strategic briefs and coordinates client and team approval.
- Manages changes in strategy throughout the term of a project.
- Notifies team members and facilitates discussions with the client.
- Notifies Business Development Executive of discrepancies in job progression or critical events on projects to ensure client satisfaction and manage overall client relationship.
Documentation and Project Maintenance
- Maintains documentation related to individual direct marketing and digital campaign projects.
- Opens jobs in Advantage.
- Maintains project notes and online folders for all assigned jobs.
- Maintains status reports for assigned projects and distributes to team members.
- Develops written communication to inform team members of any changes in their project roles.
- Maintains client edit and approval documents on items such as creative work and data processing reports.
Data Services Liaison
- Serves as the liaison with the Analytics and Data Services processes on a project basis.
- Assists in writing data processing (DP) specifications.
- Coordinates client review and approval of DP specifications.
- Reviews data processing audits such as source file audits, interim audits, selection audits, and mail file audits.
Creative Process Liaison
- Serves as the liaison with the Creative process on a project basis.
- Reviews creative copy and concepts for support of client strategic objectives.
- Coordinates client revisions and subsequent approvals.
- Coordinates the internal routing of creative documents for quality checks.
Project Process Management
- Manages project process through the implementation of company processes and procedures in order to meet established client deadlines.
