Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of the broader communication industry and its basic principles
  • Understand key client information, including business strategy, industry issues, products and services, key customers, and competitors
  • Develop earned media skills – building relationships with media, proactively surface new storylines, drafting media briefing materials, building thoughtful media lists, and outreach to media
  • Write, edit, and proofread materials including press releases, briefing books, coverage reports, pitch notes, fact sheets, and client correspondence
  • Demonstrate knowledge of social media tools and channels
  • Help supervise and educate interns
  • Participate in new business processes, including research and proposal preparation
  • Commit to continuous learning through Edelman Learning Institute and other training opportunities
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with Edelman’s values and Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
