Requirements

An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree is preferred, along with business experience in a healthcare and/or insurance setting. Experience with NY Workers Compensation, operations involving Peer Review, UR, or case management, and working with technology-based processes are preferred. Exceptional communication skills, critical thinking, efficient time management, the ability to meet deadlines, and computer literacy with typing skills are essential. Remote employees must supply and support their own internet services and maintain an uninterrupted connection.

Responsibilities

The Quality Analyst manages the medical file review process, reviewing completed referrals to ensure client questions are addressed and reports are accurate. They follow up with reviewers and clients for clarification, provide frequent updates on referral progress, and ensure reports are grammatically correct and adhere to the QA checklist before formatting for approval. The role also involves clear communication between the customer, reviewer, and operations team, and confidently discussing peer review content with physicians and clients. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.
