Familiarity with the complete exam development process, including MQC definition, JTA facilitation, item writing, technical review, and standard setting is required. Experience leading workshops with multiple participants, presenting to business leaders, and collaborating with cross-functional teams including subject matter experts, instructional designers, psychometricians, and technology specialists is necessary. Familiarity with industry standards and guidelines related to exam development, such as ISO 17024 and ETS Standards for Quality and Fairness, along with strong verbal and written communication skills, is expected.
The Certification Exam Developer will facilitate workshops with subject matter experts (SMEs) for Job Task Analysis (JTA), Minimally Qualified Candidate (MQC) definition, item writing, technical review, and standard setting. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create exam blueprints, test specifications, item development guidelines, and marketing materials. Responsibilities include conducting routine exam and item analysis to assess performance and quality, making recommendations for updates, and regularly reviewing and updating existing exams for content relevance and alignment with industry standards and product changes. The role also involves developing and maintaining knowledge of the cybersecurity industry and CrowdStrike's Falcon platform, contributing to a microcredentialing program, engaging with customers regarding exam preparation and performance, communicating with vendors for critical exam functions, and contributing to the overall growth of the certification program through process improvements.
