Requirements

Clear understanding of all BJ’s Membership options, including the importance of renewals and upgrading to BJ’s Loyalty programs
Ability to process member purchases courteously and friendly, including verifying, renewing, upgrading, and offering membership products
Proficiency in scanning merchandise through a point-of-sale system for accurate inventory counts and purchase totals
Capability to provide high level of customer service, check out members timely and efficiently, fill shopping carts when necessary, and assist members
Commitment to maintaining overall cleanliness of the front-line department
Adherence to club policies, procedures, and compliance, with honesty, integrity, and a member-focused mindset
Ability to ensure a safe and positive environment, embrace inclusion and diversity, work collaboratively as a team, move with speed and agility, innovate, adapt, and maintain a friendly and positive attitude
Daily commitment to GOLD Member Standards (Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate) and club standards (Grand opening look, stocked items, promotional plans executed, accurate signage, clean and organized)
Understanding of how to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for the department

Responsibilities

Process member purchases, including verifying, renewing, upgrading, and offering membership products, scanning merchandise, and accepting various forms of payment
Provide excellent member service in an efficient and productive manner
Maintain the overall cleanliness of the front-line department
Offer all appropriate membership products such as renewals, EASY renewal option, BJ’s Loyalty programs, and Rewards redemption
Deliver service excellence, resolve and deescalate member concerns, and ensure a safe and positive environment
Carry out job functions as assigned, support club policies and procedures, and escalate concerns as appropriate
Work as a team to achieve goals, deliver GOLD club standards daily, and execute promotional plans
Greet members, anticipate needs, appreciate them, and maintain fast, friendly, full, fresh, clean service
