Clear understanding of all BJ’s Membership options, including the importance of renewals and upgrading to BJ’s Loyalty programs
Ability to provide a high level of customer service to Members
Ability to check Members out in a timely and efficient manner
Ability to scan all club merchandise through a point-of-sale system for accurate inventory counts and purchase totals
Ability to collect payments via cash, check, or other charge payments from members
Ability to issue receipts or change due to Members
Knowledge of merchandise promotions, advertisements, and product information to discount purchases by scanning and redeeming coupons
Ability to maintain the cleanliness of the frontline area and assist in general club housekeeping
Ability to return re-sellable merchandise to the sales floor
Maintain a friendly and positive attitude, act with honesty and integrity, and work as a team
Responsibilities
Process Member purchases in a courteous and friendly manner, including verifying, renewing, upgrading, and offering several types of membership products
Scan merchandise and accept various forms of payments
Provide excellent member service in an efficient and productive manner
Maintain the overall cleanliness of the front-line department
Offer all appropriate membership products such as membership renewal, EASY renewal option, BJ’s Loyalty programs, and Rewards redemption
Fill shopping carts when necessary and assist at self-checkout stations
Stay up to date on all merchandise promotions, advertisements, and product information
Carry out job functions and responsibilities as assigned, support club policies, procedures, and compliance
Deliver service excellence, resolve and deescalate member concerns, ensure a safe and positive environment
Work as a team to deliver GOLD club standards daily, including Grand opening look, stocking items, executing promotional plans, maintaining signage, and keeping areas clean and organized
