Clear understanding of all BJ’s Membership options, including the importance of renewals and upgrading to BJ’s Loyalty programs
Ability to provide a high level of customer service to Members
Ability to check Members out in a timely and efficient manner
Proficiency in scanning all club merchandise through a point-of-sale system to ensure accurate inventory counts and accurate purchase totals
Capability to fill shopping carts when necessary and assist Members
Commitment to maintaining a friendly and positive attitude
Ability to work as a team to achieve goals and deliver GOLD club standards
Understanding of how to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for the department
Responsibilities
Process Member purchases in a courteous and friendly manner, including verifying, renewing, upgrading, and offering several types of membership products
Scan merchandise and accept various forms of payments
Provide excellent member service in an efficient and productive manner
Maintain the overall cleanliness of the front-line department
Offer all appropriate membership products such as membership renewal, EASY renewal option, BJ’s Loyalty programs, and Rewards redemption
Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate (GAA) Members daily
Ensure a safe and positive environment for members and team members
Resolve and deescalate member concerns
Support the application of club policies, procedures, and compliance
Act with honesty and integrity, leading with the member in mind and escalating concerns as appropriate
Embrace inclusion and diversity through collaboration and respect
Work with commitment and pride to deliver GOLD club standards daily, including Grand opening look, all items stocked, promotional plans executed, visible accurate signage, and clean and organized areas inside and out
