Ability to provide a high level of customer service to members
Proficiency in using a point-of-sale system to scan merchandise accurately
Capability to collect payments via cash, check, or other charge payments
Knowledge of merchandise promotions, advertisements, product information, and coupons
Maintenance of cleanliness in the frontline area and general club housekeeping

Responsibilities
Process member purchases courteously, including verifying, renewing, upgrading, and offering membership products
Scan all club merchandise through the point-of-sale system for accurate inventory and purchase totals
Fill shopping carts when necessary and assist at self-checkout stations
Collect payments, issue receipts or change to members
Offer appropriate membership products such as renewals, EASY renewal option, BJ’s Loyalty programs, and rewards redemption
Check members out in a timely and efficient manner
Stay up to date on promotions, advertisements, product information, and redeem coupons for discounts
Maintain cleanliness of the frontline area and assist in general club housekeeping
Return re-sellable merchandise to the sales floor
Carry out job functions as assigned, support club policies, resolve member concerns, ensure a safe and positive environment, and deliver GOLD club standards daily
