Requirements

Clear understanding of all BJ’s Membership options, including the importance of renewals and upgrading to BJ’s Loyalty programs
Ability to provide a high level of customer service to Members
Ability to check Members out in a timely and efficient manner
Ability to scan all club merchandise through a point-of-sale system to ensure accurate inventory counts and accurate purchase totals
Ability to fill shopping carts when necessary and assist Members
Maintain a friendly and positive attitude
Commitment to GOLD Member Standards: Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate (GAA)
Ability to work as a team to deliver GOLD club standards daily, including Grand opening look, all items stocked, promotional plans executed, visible accurate signage, clean and organized
Ability to understand how to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for the department
Acts with honesty and integrity, leads with the member in mind, escalates concerns as appropriate
Ensures a safe and positive environment for members and team members
Embraces inclusion and diversity, works with collaboration and respect
Moves with speed and agility

Responsibilities

Processes Member purchases in a courteous and friendly manner, including verifying, renewing, upgrading, and offering several types of membership products
Scans merchandise and accepts various forms of payments
Provides excellent member service in an efficient and productive manner
Maintains the overall cleanliness of the front-line department
Offers all appropriate membership products such as membership renewal, EASY renewal option, BJ’s Loyalty programs, and Rewards redemption
Checks Members out in a timely and efficient manner
Scans all club merchandise through a point-of-sale system to ensure accurate inventory counts and accurate purchase totals for Members
Fills shopping carts when necessary and assists Members
Supports the application of club policies, procedures, and compliance
Delivers service excellence through all points of contact
Resolves and deescalates member concerns
Ensures a safe and positive environment and experience for members
Carry out job functions and responsibilities as assigned
