Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in biotech or pharmaceutical sales, with preference given to experience in cardiology, rare diseases, or specialty products. Prior experience with sole territory ownership is highly desirable.
As a Cardiovascular Account Specialist, you will introduce Cytokinetics within your territory and launch its first commercial product, a novel cardiac myosin inhibitor for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM). This includes developing territory-specific account plans, identifying and developing business relationships with strategic IDNs and Hospitals, cardiology clinics, and specialty pharmacies, and serving as a subject matter expert to customers by delivering clinically relevant disease and product information. You will also be responsible for communicating approved resources to HCPs and supporting the Company’s Mission to address patients’ unmet needs.
Develops drugs for muscle function disorders
Cytokinetics focuses on developing medicines that improve muscle function for patients with cardiovascular and neuromuscular diseases. Their products are small molecule drugs designed to either enhance or inhibit muscle function, tailored to specific therapeutic needs. The company has a pipeline of drugs, including omecamtiv mecarbil and reldesemtiv, which are in various stages of clinical trials. Unlike many competitors, Cytokinetics emphasizes rigorous scientific research and has conducted over 50 clinical trials to ensure the effectiveness of its treatments. The goal is to bring new therapies to market that address the unmet needs of patients suffering from conditions like heart failure, ALS, and HCM.
