Requirements

Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or G.E.D., with a minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership and management responsibility. A minimum of 3 years of P&L experience is required, along with previous experience in the environmental services industry, employment by a Fortune 500 company, and experience in labor relations.

Responsibilities

The General Manager is responsible for leading a Business Unit with full profit and loss responsibility, managing an infrastructure team including Operations, Fleet Management, Sales, Finance, HR, Safety, Environmental Compliance, and Environmental Engineering. They will execute local market strategies, implement tactical initiatives, manage collection and disposal operations, represent the company to external stakeholders, oversee safety programs, ensure compliance with standards, and drive change management for new processes and products. This role involves formulating business unit strategy, defining success metrics, conducting business analyses, managing strategic alliances, marketing value propositions to partners and customers, and collaborating with product development, marketing, and sales departments for joint go-to-market activities and content creation.
